On January 17, Saint Anthony is celebrated in Italy. The tradition says that on that night all animals can talk. Saint Anthony the Abbot has been long recognized as the patron and protector of the lower animals, and particularly of pigs. On this day, in Italy, in most churches a special mess is being held to which all animals can participate to be blessed. In this video, shot by a friend of mine, we are in front of the church, with Bamboo. Many people brought their dogs, cats, horse, and even goats, chicken, and other farm animals to be blessed with a long and healthy life.
On a sunny Sunday afternoon we went with some of our friends to take a walk in the vineyards outside of the village of Ricaldone. My friend had just bought his new GoPro camera and shot some videos.
